Third Eye University
A free, voice-first global online university — open to anyone, anywhere. Foundational literacy through specialised skill-building, with language instruction for users connecting across borders. Curriculum in design.
What it is
What is it?
A web of voice-first courses delivered through the Third Eye mobile app. Subjects include foundational literacy, digital literacy, vocational skills, and language instruction for users connecting across borders.
The university is voice-first by default — every lecture is audio, every assignment is voice or text, every interaction is screen-reader-clean. Sighted users are welcome. Blind users are the primary audience.
Curriculum is being designed in partnership with educators, advocacy organizations, and the blind community itself. Anyone teaching in a relevant subject — and especially blind educators — is invited to contribute.

How it works
How does it work?
Lectures are recorded as audio. Assignments are submitted as voice or text. Discussion happens in voice memos. The platform is built on the same voice-first stack as the rest of our work, so users move between the Third Eye Kit, Third Eye AI, and the university with no learning curve between them.
The reason
Why we built it
Mainstream online education assumes visual content delivery — slides, readings, video lectures with on-screen text. For blind users, that means perpetually translating someone else's medium back into yours. We're starting from the other end: audio is the first-class container, and visual material is the accommodation.
In practice
How is it used?
If you teach, design curriculum, or have content you'd like to contribute, write to us at hello@thirdeyeworldwide.org with the subject line University. We're not announcing launch dates yet — this is a long-term build, and we'd rather ship one excellent course than ten rushed ones.
What’s next
What’s the future of it?
First courses launch in partnership with educators in the disability advocacy space. We'll publish a roadmap as the curriculum stabilises. Course catalog, instructor recruitment, and a translation pipeline are all in early design.
